About the position

Happy Feet Portraits is a locally owned and family-operated School Photography company that specializes in Picture Day events for preschools and daycares. We are currently seeking a Seasonal/Part-time Administrative Assistant/Photo Editor to join our team. This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility, but may require occasional visits to our office in Solon, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be well-organized, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of making independent decisions while meeting deadlines. As a small, growing company, we value adaptability and the ability to handle changes effectively. The role is seasonal, with a tentative start date of August 13th and running until mid-December, with the possibility of returning in February 2025. The Administrative Assistant/Photo Editor will play a crucial role in supporting our operations, ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality service during their Picture Day events. This position requires a proactive individual who can assist with various administrative tasks and photo editing duties, contributing to the overall success of our company.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking employee attendance and job time
  • Answer phones and respond to email inquiries
  • Data entry in Quickbooks (once implemented)
  • Assist in accounts payable/receivable
  • Manage general office duties such as inventory control and travel arrangements
  • Cropping/editing photos using Photoshop
  • Prepare class composites and class photos
  • Prepare, review, and upload daily photography files
  • Ensure client deliverables are met
  • Communicate with schools prior to and after Picture Day
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Word and Excel)
  • Proficient in Quickbooks
  • Proficient with Canva
  • Photoshop skills required
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload and problem-solve
  • Some office/clerical experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • Customer Service experience (2 years preferred)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (2 years required)
  • Experience with QuickBooks (2 years required)
