About The Position

Hogan-Hansen, P.C. is seeking a Seasonal Administrative Assistant to support its operations in Ankeny or Ames, Iowa. This temporary role is designed to provide essential customer service and administrative support during the busy tax season, starting in January 2025 and concluding in May 2025. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in administrative work.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as a team to problem solve.
  • Skilled at time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Answer phones and assist walk-in customers.
  • Scan client documents for tax preparation.
  • Assist in tax return assembly.
  • Facilitate correspondence between clients and staff.
  • Manage the scanning and filing of documents.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and UPS packages.
  • Schedule appointments and confirm changes or delays.
  • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
  • Prepare, open, and distribute mail and packages.
  • Act as a liaison between colleagues and clients to facilitate work.
