Seasonal Aircraft Deicer Agent - Richmond International Airport (RIC)

About the position

The Seasonal Aircraft Deicer Agent at PrimeFlight Aviation Services is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective deicing of aircraft at Richmond International Airport. This role involves inspecting aircraft for ice and frost, applying deicing fluids, and maneuvering large vehicles around the aircraft during the deicing process. The position requires maintaining accurate records of deicing fluid usage and effective communication with dispatchers, all while adhering to safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft for leading-edge ice and frost.
• Apply deicing fluid Type I and Type IV to aircraft wings, fuselage, and tail.
• Safely drive large vehicles around aircraft during deicing operations.
• Accurately record deicing fluid transactions for accounting purposes.
• Operate headset/radio to communicate with the dispatcher.
• Perform daily quality control checks on equipment and vehicles.
• Abide by and comply with all safety standards and procedures.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at the job location.
• Exceed PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to use electronic devices including iPads/Tablets, Computers, and Mobile Devices.
• Effectively communicate both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, and U.S. Postal, as applicable).
• Ability to work any day/shift, including holidays, within a 24/7 operation.
