About the position

Cordovan Art School is looking for a Seasonal Art Teacher to instruct art camps for children and teenagers during specific months of the year. The role involves teaching various art mediums including acrylic, watercolor, pastels, drawing, and ceramics, and requires a cheerful and positive personality to engage with students effectively.

Responsibilities

• Teach art camps during December, January, March, and summer months.
• Instruct students in various art mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, pastels, drawing, and ceramics.
• Manage a class of 12 students independently or 18 students with an assistant.
• Communicate effectively with students and parents.
• Prepare lesson plans and art materials for classes.

Requirements

• Must be skilled in traditional painting and drawing.
• Knowledge of multiple art mediums is required.
• Previous teaching experience with children is preferred.
• Experience in oil painting and/or low fire clay is a plus.
• Experience in wheel throwing is a plus.
• Must be available during morning or afternoon shifts.
