About the position

The Seasonal Asset Protection Security Guard at Macy's is an entry-level position within the Asset Protection team, responsible for maintaining a safe business environment and providing excellent customer service. The role involves monitoring customer traffic, communicating suspicious activities, and acting as a visual deterrent to theft, primarily stationed at customer entrances.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers when they enter the store or a department within a store
• Use two-way communication devices to maintain contact with Asset Protection Detectives and Management
• Remain stationed at high traffic entrances and high-shortage areas to deter theft and monitor suspicious activity
• Maintain strict compliance with company policies regarding apprehensions, searches and evidence preservation
• Handle proprietary, sensitive, and confidential information

Requirements

• Comfortable communicating with customers
• Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Enjoy working as part of a team, as well as independently
• Comfortable with two-way communication devices
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and across departments
