About the position

The Seasonal Associate at The UPS Store is a temporary role focused on providing exceptional customer service and supporting sales efforts during the peak season. The position involves assisting customers, managing transactions, and maintaining an organized store environment to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries to enhance their shopping experience.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for processing transactions.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling policies.
• Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels to ensure product availability.
• Support sales initiatives through upselling and promoting current promotions or products.
• Supervise and mentor new team members as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including the sales floor and stockroom.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
• Strong cash handling skills with experience operating cash registers or POS systems.
• Excellent communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for stocking and inventory management.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed during peak season.
