About the position

The position at Intuit involves providing expert guidance and tax preparation services to customers, specifically focusing on business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations. The role is integral to advancing Intuit's mission of 'Powering Prosperity Around the World' by ensuring customer success through effective communication and technical expertise. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development of TurboTax Live Business, a new product offering.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex business tax returns for Partnerships and S Corporations.
  • Provide tax advice and full-service business return preparation and signature.
  • Assist customers with product/software inquiries and tax calculations.
  • File tax extensions for customers as needed.
  • Create high-quality customer interactions that instill confidence.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain records of services provided.
  • Work towards meeting company key performance metrics and goals.
  • Participate in pilot testing, projects, and experience validations.

Requirements

  • Strong business tax preparation experience with 3 or more years of recent experience preparing federal and state business tax returns (1065 and/or 1120-S) for at least 20 clients/customers per season.
  • Minimum of 2 seasons of personal tax preparation experience, with at least 30 tax returns per tax year.
  • Commit to a minimum schedule of at least 20 hours/week throughout the tax season.
  • Bookkeeping experience with books to tax preparation is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain any related state licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
  • Must possess an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
  • Working knowledge of Circular 230.
  • Proficient with technology and solid knowledge of computer operations and software.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with customers through video and audio tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, research skills, and determination.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Experience preparing business tax returns for service industry customers.
