About the position

The Seasonal Cashier at JCPenney is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment. This role involves assisting customers, maintaining product presentation, and ensuring the store is well-stocked during the peak shopping season. As a seasonal hire, the position has a defined employment period, with the last working day communicated by the manager as the season concludes.

Responsibilities

  • Assists customers by seeking them out and ensuring a great shopping experience from the sales floor to the register.
  • Adjusts to customer flow by being available to assist customers or co-workers as needed.
  • Maintains product presentation by adjusting displays to showcase the latest fashion and merchandise trends.
  • Replenishes and restocks the store to ensure customers have access to the styles and sizes they need.
  • Participates in a learning environment by absorbing new information from peers and training materials.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service skills and a desire to assist customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer needs.
  • Basic understanding of retail operations and product presentation.
