About the position

The Seasonal Cashier position is focused on delivering exceptional customer service in a retail environment. The role involves assisting customers with their shopping experience, ensuring a fast and friendly checkout process, and maintaining store standards. Cashiers will also engage customers with promotional programs and assist with various store operations, including inventory management and merchandise recovery.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in locating products.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience while adhering to cash handling standards.
• Engage customers about the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, completing enrollments as necessary.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
• Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members, promoting the organization's vision and values.
• Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
