About the position

The Seasonal Early Mornings Truck Team position at Michaels involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting customers in shopping, and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. The role includes responsibilities related to truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold the brand's promises. Team members will also engage customers regarding the Rewards program and assist with various store processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in shopping.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Maintain store recovery standards to deliver brand promises.
• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Execute cash handling to standards during checkout.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance, including returns and general store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
• Interact with others in a respectful manner and promote the organization's vision and values.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Ability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
