About the position

We are seeking passionate animal lovers to join our team as Seasonal Employees in Pet Sales & Daycare. This part-time position offers the opportunity to care for pets in a daycare facility, ensuring their safety and comfort while engaging them in play and exercise. The role may lead to permanent employment for those who excel in their duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and care for pets in the daycare facility, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Engage pets in playtime activities, providing mental stimulation and exercise.
• Monitor the behavior of animals to identify any signs of stress or discomfort.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store area and daycare area, including indoor and outdoor spaces.
• Administer basic daily tasks such as feeding and daily walks as needed.
• Assist with animal loving and petting during grooming visits when necessary.
• Provide pet care services including feeding, walking, and games as directed by pet owners or management.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise.
• Assist customers in selecting appropriate toys and products for their pets.
• Operate the POS system and provide a pleasant checkout experience for customers.
• Assist other team members in ensuring the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
• Participate and assist in any events hosted by Pups Path as needed.

Requirements

• Passion for animal care and welfare.
• Ability to engage with pets and provide a safe environment.
• Good communication skills to interact with pet owners and customers.
• Basic knowledge of pet care practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in POS systems.
• Previous experience in pet care or daycare settings.
