About the position

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Seasonal Flower Delivery Driver and Shop Assistant to join our high-end flower shop team in Rancho Santa Fe. This part-time, temporary position is essential during the busy months of November and December, focusing on delivering floral arrangements while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe transportation of flowers, assisting with shop operations, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans of various sizes.
• Load and unload goods efficiently, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Navigate routes effectively while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
• Assist with flower shop operations when not on delivery routes, including inventory management, flower processing, and cleaning.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus but not mandatory; a clean driving record is essential.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the day.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including potential overtime as needed.
