About the position
Passport Health is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) for a seasonal flu clinic role from August to December. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide essential health services to the community while earning extra income on a per diem basis. As a nurse with Passport Health, you will be responsible for administering flu vaccinations and conducting biometric screenings at various onsite locations across the U.S. This role is perfect for those looking to supplement their income with flexible scheduling options that fit around your personal commitments. The clinics are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis, allowing you to choose shifts that align with your availability. You will have the autonomy to manage your schedule, ensuring that you are never obligated to work a clinic unless it suits your personal timetable. This flexibility not only provides a chance to earn additional income but also allows you to contribute positively to public health by helping employees stay healthy throughout the flu season. In this role, you will engage in various clinical, administrative, and customer service tasks that require a high level of professionalism. Your responsibilities will include setting up clinic supplies at the designated site, ensuring that all participants sign in and complete necessary consent forms, administering vaccinations, and adhering to proper disposal protocols for medical waste. After each clinic, you will also be responsible for cleaning up and packing supplies for pickup. This position is ideal for nurses who are comfortable working independently and maintaining communication with schedulers to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Setting up clinic supplies at the site location
- Ensuring that each employee signs in and completes a consent form
- Administering vaccinations and properly disposing of sharps using Passport Health's protocol
- Cleaning up after your scheduled clinic and packing the supplies back up for their scheduled pickup
- Maintaining consistent communication with schedulers
Requirements
- Possess a valid, unencumbered nursing license (RN or LPN)
- Hold a current, basic CPR certification
- Have basic technological skills (operating an iPad, clocking-in via a cellular device, etc.)
- Be able to work in a professional, efficient manner
- Be comfortable and confident working independently
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- RN License (Preferred)
