About the position

The Front End Sales Associate/Cashier at Eataly is responsible for handling payments and ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions. This seasonal part-time role is expected to cover the busy holiday season from November to January, providing excellent guest relations and support to the team.

Responsibilities

• Handle payments and ensure accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements.
• Collect cash, checks, or charge payments from guests and provide change and charge vouchers as appropriate.
• Verify accuracy of cash bank by counting cash, checks, and charge payments at the end of the shift.
• Obtain and review information regarding price changes.
• Verify employee discounts, returns, exchanges, and voids with the assistance of the manager or shift lead.
• Return carts and baskets to their central distribution areas, take back go-backs/damages, fix displays, help restock, and support team members.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Basic knowledge of the functions of cash registers.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to remain stationary for periods of up to 8 hours.
• Ability to bend and stoop on occasion.
• Ability to escort guests to other parts of the facility as circumstances dictate.
