About the position
Under general supervision, ensures golf operations are facilitated in an orderly fashion. Assist with reservations check-ins, pace of play and special events. Operate point of sale system, ensure overall pro shop cleanliness, maintaining a clean, professional Pro Shop. Meets and greets guests in a friendly, courteous and professional manner. Communicates clearly and professionally, assisting guests in course play. Ensure pro shop is stocked in a presentable, orderly manner. Coordinates and communicates with staff regarding cart availability, food and beverage preparation, and course compliance. Assist with general cleaning of the pro shop and club house. Perform accurate cash and credit transactions. Ability to explain golf products and services and other information about Meadowlark Hills Golf Course to all guests. Assists with the setup and execution of tournaments leagues and outings. Report guest complaints promptly to Golf Course Manager. Participates in required employee safety trainings including weather alerts siren activations. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Establish & maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees & the public.
- Regular timely/punctual attendance.
- General knowledge of the game.
- Open & close golf shop and clubhouse as scheduled.
- Greet and register golf patrons.
- Answer phone & book tee times.
- Knowledge of prices, policies, procedures & customer database.
- Ability to clearly announce tee times over the PA system.
- Assist with grilling for leagues.
- Informs customers about the facility (i.e., prices, sales, specials events, lessons etc.).
- Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Stock and sell merchandise, assist with inventory.
- Properly account for cash and credit transactions.
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Prior golf related experience preferred.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
