About the position

The Seasonal Guest Advocate position at Target involves providing exceptional guest service while managing various responsibilities across the store. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are eager to assist guests with their shopping experience. Team members will engage in cashiering, stocking, and ensuring product availability, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and service guests while completing workload with minimal disruption.
  • Work in all departments to ensure the sales floor is full, zoned, and in stock.
  • Push and stock products to the sales floor.
  • Execute adjacency changes, transitions, revisions, and sales plans for all departments.
  • Conduct weekly price change workload and ensure regular and promotional signing is set accurately.
  • Complete scans and system audit functions to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Support execution of major transitions and ISM.
  • Assist guest services with cashiering, order pick up (OPU), and Drive up (DU) as applicable.
  • Accurately execute all pulls and backstock products from all departments.
  • Process all inbound deliveries to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Complete all backroom daily and weekly audits.
  • Operate power equipment only if certified.
  • Maintain backroom organization and location accuracy and follow equipment guidelines.
  • Follow processes accurately with attention to detail and monitor own progress.
  • Provide service and a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Skill in resolving guest questions quickly on the spot.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
  • Ability to accurately handle cash register operations.
  • Physical ability to climb up and down ladders and lift or move merchandise up to 40 pounds.
