About the position

The Seasonal HR Assistant / Onboarding Processor at Personalization Mall plays a crucial role in welcoming new employees and facilitating their onboarding experience. This position is designed for individuals who are detail-oriented and possess strong customer service skills. The HR Assistant will be responsible for various administrative tasks that support the HR team, ensuring that new hires are smoothly integrated into the company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and have a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and discretion in all HR-related matters. In this role, the HR Assistant will assist with onboarding processes, which include conducting orientations, processing new hire documentation, and creating employee profiles and badges. The position also involves managing HR-related inquiries from associates, educating employees on self-service options, and maintaining accurate employee records. During peak seasons, the HR Assistant will support the onboarding and offboarding of a large number of temporary employees, which requires effective communication with the Operations team, agency representatives, and the HR team. The Seasonal HR Assistant must be prepared to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, especially during busy periods. The role requires a strong ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Candidates should be self-starters who can take initiative and complete tasks efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including data entry and maintaining employee records.
  • Assist with the onboarding processes, such as conducting orientations, processing new hire documentation, and creating employee profiles and badges.
  • Assist associates with HR-related inquiries, manage emails, and educate employees on available self-service options and platforms.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of large quantities of temporary employees, including reviewing employment status, assigning departments and shifts, creating barcodes, updating timecards, and maintaining records on return eligibility while effectively communicating with the Operations team, agency representatives, and the HR team.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources, Customer Service, or related work experience
  • Knowledge or experience working with ADP platforms is a plus
  • Proficient working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are required to effectively interact with all levels of company personnel and external contacts
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines with accurate and detailed results
  • Professional demeanor and ability to follow directions
  • Strong self-starter with initiative, able to take tasks through completion with solid results
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends during peak seasons
  • Bilingual Spanish is a plus
