About the position

Catbird, an NYC luxury jewelry brand, is seeking a Seasonal Inventory Associate to support our operations during the busy holiday season. This position is temporary and full-time, with open availability required from October through December. The role involves receiving and organizing merchandise, ensuring that all items are accounted for accurately, and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to work collaboratively within a team environment. This position requires a commitment to quality control, particularly in the jewelry and fashion industries, and the ability to recognize and report any discrepancies in inventory. Weekend availability is essential, as hours will vary throughout the season. Candidates should be prepared to adhere to our seasonal time and attendance policy, as well as our behavioral standards. This role is perfect for individuals who have a passion for jewelry and possess experience in inventory management or quality control.

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away merchandise
• Check quantity, accuracy, and quality including stock with expiration dates
• Maintain standard productivity level while ensuring accuracy
• Keep a clean and organized work environment
• Ability to recognize inventory discrepancies and report it to leadership team
• Adhere to our seasonal time and attendance policy and behavioral policy
• Provide ad hoc general warehouse support

Requirements

• Quality control experience in the jewelry, fashion, or related industries
• Detail oriented and organized
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Works with a sense of urgency and responsibility
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Able to work in a collaborative team-based environment

Nice-to-haves

• A love of jewelry and experience with either making jewelry or working for a jewelry company
