About the position

The Seasonal Lift Driver at Carter's is responsible for supporting the distribution center's operations by efficiently handling inventory and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. This role involves operating lift trucks, managing inventory tasks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position offers opportunities for growth within a company dedicated to serving families with young children.

Responsibilities

  • Research previous locations and locate hot stock for waving purposes.
  • Lock inventory to lost and communicate with the Inventory Department.
  • Observe housekeeping, safety, and C-TPAT compliance in assigned areas.
  • Work with Wave Planning, Inventory Control, and Training to ensure adherence to area processes.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned, including pulling during low volume periods.
  • Support the Coordinator/Supervisor in all operational areas of the Distribution Center.

Requirements

  • Must be able to operate lift trucks (Order picker/Reach truck).
  • Ability to operate within WMOS using all task functions including (ROL's).
  • Proven team member with skills to multi-task.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with others (Supervisors and co-workers).
  • Basic math and reading skills.
  • Must have the ability to abide by all of Carter's policies and procedures and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
  • Six months in an automated distribution center environment preferred.
