About the position

Carter's Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in a role that is essential to our operations. In this position, you will be responsible for various tasks that are crucial to our production environment. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trailers, sorting and stacking cases on pallets, and shrink-wrapping pallets to ensure safe transport. You will be expected to work quickly and accurately while maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role is vital in supporting our mission to serve families with young children effectively. To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate a strong ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret essential documents such as safety rules and operating instructions in English. Effective communication with co-workers and supervisors is crucial, as is the ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including counting, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers. You will be required to apply common sense to follow detailed written and oral instructions and to resolve problems that may arise in standardized situations. Additionally, you should be comfortable using basic Windows operating systems to enter information as needed. Physical demands of the job include standing for the entire shift, using your hands to handle and move cases, and the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds regularly. You will also need to adjust your focus to read small fonts accurately on scanners, labels, and computer screens.
