About The Position

The Seasonal Merchandise Handler at Macy's is responsible for driving sales and executing strategic merchandising initiatives within the store. This role involves maintaining high merchandising standards, suggesting vendor products, and creating a memorable shopping experience for customers. The position requires flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and emphasizes teamwork and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year previous retail experience.
  • Good understanding of customer needs and able to communicate product knowledge, trends, and style inspiration to store leadership and vendor(s).
  • Comfortable communicating virtually, via phone, and in person.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities with a sense of urgency while staying organized.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels and across departments.

  • Experience with electronic devices and handheld equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales by sharing product knowledge, trends, and style inspiration.
  • Merchandise new deliveries from vendor(s) and follow brand-specific merchandise execution guides and standards.
  • Communicate customer needs and shopping patterns on a regular basis to store leadership and vendor(s).
  • Work with store teams to drive best practices for sales and execution.
  • Ensure sales floor is properly signed for sales and markdowns.
  • Follow store's audit policies and procedures.
