About the position
The Seasonal Part Time Retail Supervisor at The Lodge at St. Edward Park is responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience through effective retail operations. This role involves overseeing daily procedures, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The supervisor will also participate in merchandising, assist in training new employees, and utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a warm and professional attitude to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Knowledge of opening, closing, and daily operational procedures.
- Participate in retail merchandise procurement and concepting of new retail offerings.
- Balance registers and ensure accuracy of closing procedures.
- Manage inventory received and back stock; upkeep of floor merchandising and displays.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of all guest and non-guest facing areas.
- Communicate with team members and Rooms Management on special requests and orders.
- Understand shipping procedures for store merchandise and interdepartmental transfers.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide excellent customer service.
- Assist in training new employees and participate in inventory counting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail environment strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate.
- Basic math skills required for accurate currency handling.
