About the position
The JCC at the David R. Kahn Community Campus is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as seasonal part-time Pool Attendants. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about providing exceptional service to our members and guests. As a Pool Attendant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that JCC members and their guests are properly checked in upon arrival at the pool. You will also be responsible for selling snacks and drinks to enhance the pool experience for our visitors. This position requires a friendly demeanor and a commitment to excellence in service, as you will be the first point of contact for many of our members and guests. In addition to checking in members and guests, you will serve as an ambassador for the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh, the Jewish Community Center, and Jewish Family Services. Your role will involve welcoming individuals to the pool area, verifying memberships, and collecting guest fees. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at the pool, ensuring that all guests adhere to the rules and regulations of the facility. This seasonal position is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors and interacting with the community, particularly during weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Welcome members and their guests to the JCC pool on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays (Memorial Day, Labor Day, and July 4th).
- Check in members and verify membership.
- Check in guests and collect guest fees.
- Sell snacks and drinks at the pool gate.
- Serve as an ambassador for the Jewish Federation of Greater Raleigh, Jewish Community Center, and Jewish Family Services.
Requirements
- Ability to be outdoors all day.
- Must be comfortable using a Square credit card reader to sell snacks and drinks.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
- Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Background check required.
