Seasonal - Production

About the position

The Seasonal Production position involves following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety policies while performing various tasks related to the production and packaging of meat products. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations and ensure cleanliness of equipment and materials.
• Identify and prevent foreign objects from contaminating products.
• Ensure product integrity by checking for spoilage and proper packaging.
• Palletize cases weighing up to 60 lbs and ensure proper stacking and labeling.
• Use shrink wrap to secure finished pallets and apply product IDs using the Canopy system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas according to SSOP policy.
• Complete end-of-shift clean-up tasks, including trash removal and equipment sanitization.
• Operate specific machinery related to different departments, such as Patty Stacker and Papronic Paper Feeder.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 or more years of experience in packing or palletizing preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing.
• Good communication skills and knowledge of safety guidelines.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with metal detection machines.
• Familiarity with various labels and packaging materials.

Benefits

• Pay range of $16.00 - $20.50 per hour.
