About the position

The Seasonal Retail At Your Service Associate at Macy's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service during various At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup in Store transactions, processing returns, and assisting customers with their shopping experience. This role requires flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, engaging with customers and ensuring a smooth shopping journey.

Responsibilities

• Greet and connect with customers in a friendly manner.
• Recommend products by identifying customer needs and inspiring purchases.
• Offer options and solutions to customers to complete sales.
• Wrap up customer transactions and celebrate their purchases.
• Assist customers with the total store experience, including online orders.
• Monitor alerts for timely completion of Buy Online Pickup In-Store orders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of store products to drive sales and minimize returns.
• Sell gift cards and resolve customer card issues as needed.
• Follow store audit policies and procedures.
• Adhere to asset protection and inventory control procedures.

Requirements

• Good understanding of products and ability to provide expert guidance to customers.
• Comfortable communicating with customers virtually, via phone, and in person.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and achieve sales goals.
• Utilize point of sale technology and applications effectively.
• Self-driven to keep up with product knowledge and trends.
