About the position

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Seasonal Retail Sales Associate to join our team for the Holidays! In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. You will assist in maintaining the sales floor, maintaining inventory and providing excellent customer service. Made in KC is much more than a retail shop. We provide a platform for 200+ local artists, designers, and makers to reach customers throughout Kansas City and across the country. The environment is lively and fast-paced, especially during the Holidays, from Mid-November through the end of December.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
• Maintain stock levels and merchandise on the sales floor
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while adhering to cash handling procedures
• Resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area to create an inviting atmosphere
• Other tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements

• Customer Service experience is a must
• A positive attitude is a must
• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer calls effectively
• Ability to perform basic retail math calculations
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer engagement
• A proactive attitude towards upselling products and enhancing customer experiences
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining stock levels
