About the position

The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate at Macy's is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable shopping experience in the women's shoes department. This role involves engaging with customers, assisting with merchandise selection, and meeting sales goals while maintaining store standards. Associates will work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to support peak sales periods and ensure customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
• Determine customer needs based on preferences and suggest additional merchandise.
• Demonstrate knowledge of store products and services to build sales and minimize returns.
• Demonstrate proficiency in POS systems and assist customers using devices to shop.
• Retrieve additional merchandise at customers' request from the stockroom.
• Develop new business and expand client base through in-store interaction and suggestive selling.
• Maintain department recovery standards, including selling floor and fitting rooms.
• Deliver optimal merchandise execution presentation through placement and style.
• Ensure accurate merchandise pricing and process markdowns timely.
• Assist in the movement of fixtures and merchandise for new products and seasonal changes.
• Assist in inventory and markdown processes.
• Pick, pack, and ship merchandise to fulfill digital customer orders.
• Adhere to Asset Protection policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No education or experience required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate effectively.
• Resourceful self-starter; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical functions.
