About the position

The Seasonal Retail Sales Associate at Kohl's is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring operational efficiency at the point of sale. This role focuses on creating a positive customer experience while executing transactions quickly and accurately. Associates will engage with customers, assist with their needs, and support the training of new hires, all while adhering to company standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Operate a cash register, scan items, bag merchandise, and handle different payment methods.
• Execute point of sale and customer service standards based on company guidelines.
• Meet or exceed individual goals such as credit and loyalty.
• Support inventory accuracy through proper point of sale and merchandise practices.
• Train new hires on service team processes and point of sale procedures.
• Participate in daily service processes including register balancing and supply replenishment.
• Act with integrity and foster teamwork in an inclusive culture.
• Demonstrate a customer service mindset and resolve issues satisfactorily.
• Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.
• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Flexible availability including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
