About the position

The Seasonal Sales Associate at Men's Wearhouse is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience across various business segments, including retail, rental, and custom clothing. This role emphasizes customer engagement, teamwork, and adaptability to changing programs while contributing to a positive work environment. The associate will utilize benchmark selling techniques and participate in team selling to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate benchmark selling techniques for retail sales, custom clothing sales, and special occasion rentals.
• Encourage and participate in team selling.
• Build relationships with customers from greeting through post-sale contact.
• Monitor and positively impact store sales volume and metrics goals.
• Meet and maintain personal sales volume goals while ensuring quality of sale.
• Assist with alteration fittings and provide recommendations for alterations.
• Receive shipments and maintain a clean, organized store based on merchandising standards.
• Assist with visual merchandising in compliance with brand standards.
• Monitor the security of company property and report any discrepancies.
• Conduct merchandise stock counts as requested and report discrepancies to management.
• Participate as a member of the store team, supporting team goals and accountability.
• Maintain a workplace free of harassment and discrimination.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for the majority of the work shift.
• Frequent bending, squatting, and twisting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Climb a ladder to reach merchandise and supplies.
• Ability to see and distinguish between fabric patterns and colors.
