Responsibilities

• Assist customers with inquiries and provide knowledgeable information about products and services.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Stock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure a well-organized shopping environment.
• Use point-of-sale (POS) systems efficiently for processing sales transactions.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and change is given.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including restocking items as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with cash registers and cash handling practices is a plus.
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate transaction processing.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone is beneficial.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and team members alike.
