Responsibilities
- Dismount garbage truck to pick up and empty garbage, placing refuse and recycle materials into the back of the refuse truck.
- Mow and edge lawns using power mowers and edgers.
- Dump, spread, and tamp asphalt to repair joints and patch broken pavement.
- Flag motorists to warn them of obstacles or repair work ahead.
- Set out signs and cones around work areas to divert traffic.
- Gather and remove litter from roadway and ditches.
- Maintain sewers by cleaning and clearing debris from culverts, catch basins, ditches, and other drain structures.
- Clean and paint buildings; wash vehicles.
