About the position
The Seasonal Starbucks Barista at Macy's is responsible for selling and creating Starbucks coffee beverages while providing exceptional customer service. This role involves following Starbucks standards and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The Barista will engage with customers, educate them about products, and ensure a high-quality experience in the foodservice environment of Macy's.
Responsibilities
- Sell and create Starbucks coffee beverages following Starbucks standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service through product knowledge and hospitality.
- Maintain work area and equipment in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Follow Starbucks Simple Service Steps and Magic Selling skills.
- Educate, sample, and serve customers food and beverage products.
- Open and/or close the area following appropriate checklists.
- Maintain PAR stock levels and standards in product presentations.
- Produce and present freshly prepared products following Starbucks recipes.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional dress code.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- No education or experience required.
- 1-2 years related experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules and procedural manuals.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
