Deseret Book Company is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Seasonal Part-Time Sales Associate at our Cedar City, UT location. Since 1866, we have been a trusted voice in providing content and lifestyle products that support members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our mission is to create and offer resources that build faith, strengthen families, and promote personal virtues. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and showcasing our wide range of products, including faith-based books, music, DVDs, religious art, and home decor. In this position, you will be responsible for exhibiting world-class sales and customer service skills while assisting customers in finding and purchasing Deseret Book products and services. Your duties will include operating cash registers, locating products, taking orders, imprinting, and gift-wrapping. You will also maintain the store's appearance and organization by stocking shelves, unpacking merchandise shipments, and assisting with merchandise presentation. This role requires flexibility, as you will be expected to work various shifts, including days, evenings, and Saturdays, to meet the needs of our customers. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, possess excellent customer service skills, and have a good knowledge of our products. You should be able to hear, understand, and respond to customers and associates effectively. Additionally, the ability to regularly lift 20 lbs and occasionally lift 35-50 lbs is necessary, as well as the capability to stand for long periods of time.
