About the position

As a Seasonal Support Champion Associate at Macy's, your primary focus will be on enhancing the customer experience through proactive supervision and fostering a sales-oriented culture. You will be part of the Store Leadership Team, responsible for communicating goals and expectations, creating a lively store atmosphere, and adapting to various duties to meet business demands. This role requires flexibility in working hours, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and major sale events, to ensure an outstanding holiday shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide active supervision by circulating the selling floor and directing colleagues to optimize customer experience and increase sales.
  • Lead activities to ensure customer readiness and maintain exceptional presentation standards.
  • Role model the ability to build lasting customer relationships and encourage colleagues to do the same.
  • Help build a proactive, customer-centric culture in the store to ensure consistent customer experiences.
  • Handle responsibilities related to the physical operation of the facility, including opening and closing the building.
  • Oversee daily receiving and fulfillment processes, supporting in-store customer pickup functions.
  • Monitor dashboards and reports to achieve daily execution metrics.
  • Utilize handheld and point of sale systems to lead execution of department goals.
  • Participate in Omni Checkpoints to resolve open aged orders and update daily progress.
  • Support inbound and outbound dock operations, including merchandise receipt and reverse logistics.
  • Ensure necessary shifts are scheduled and filled using trailer projections and the daily fulfillment planner.
  • Coordinate with store leadership to identify and address operational challenges.
  • Conduct Welcome Calls to newly hired colleagues and support Store Leaders in onboarding seasonal colleagues.
  • Support seasonal colleagues in key onboarding activities such as store tours and schedule pick-up.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively, providing guidance and support.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Careful attention to detail in handling daily tasks and examining reports.
  • Ability to collaborate with different teams to drive sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Resourceful self-starter who works well independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
