About the position

The Seasonal Team Member position at Michaels is primarily focused on providing excellent customer service during evening shifts on weekends. This role involves assisting customers with their shopping experience, operating cash registers, and maintaining store standards. The position is part-time and seasonal, requiring flexibility in scheduling, particularly on weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on self-service kiosks and cash registers.
• Promote the Michaels rewards program and private label credit card.
• Deliver friendly customer service and ensure a fast checkout experience.
• Complete truck unloading and merchandise duties throughout the store.
• Help customers locate products and provide solutions.
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS).
• Participate in stocking and planogram processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance to ensure a well-merchandised store.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies.
• Interact positively and respectfully with customers and team members.
• Cross train in Custom Framing selling and production.

Requirements

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to move throughout the store and perform regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
