About the position

The Seasonal Team Member (TM) role at At Home Stores LLC is designed to support the operational needs of the store during peak periods. This temporary position is crucial for maintaining the store's performance and ensuring that all processes align with the company's standards aimed at driving sales. The Seasonal TM will join the team for a specified duration, with hours varying based on workload demand and other business requirements. This role not only involves direct customer interaction but also encompasses various operational tasks that contribute to the overall efficiency of the store. As a Seasonal Team Member, you will be expected to maintain a positive attitude and work with a sense of urgency. You will execute all company directives, policies, and procedures accurately and thoroughly. Your contributions will help foster a customer-focused environment, ensuring that customers receive excellent service throughout their shopping experience. This includes performing cashier duties, processing transactions efficiently, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for shoppers. In addition to front-end responsibilities, the Seasonal TM will be involved in unloading, processing, and stocking freight according to store merchandising guidelines. You will also be responsible for store recovery, conditioning, and housekeeping tasks, both inside and outside the building. Completing daily and weekly tasks efficiently and on time is essential, as is actively participating in customer satisfaction initiatives, inventory control, safety, and loss prevention efforts. The role may also include other duties as needed based on business demands.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive attitude and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Execute all company directives, policies, and procedures accurately and thoroughly.
  • Contribute to a customer-focused environment by providing excellent customer service.
  • Perform cashier and front-end duties as assigned, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Unload, process, and stock freight within the correct location following store merchandising guidelines.
  • Perform store recovery, conditioning, and housekeeping tasks as assigned inside and outside the building.
  • Complete daily/weekly workload and tasks as assigned, ensuring efficiency and timeliness.
  • Actively participate in customer satisfaction, inventory control/shrink, safety, and loss prevention efforts.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and work with urgency.
  • Strong customer service skills and a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Basic cash handling and cashiering skills.
  • Ability to follow store merchandising guidelines for stocking and organizing products.
  • Willingness to perform various operational tasks as needed.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous retail experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes.
