As a Seasonal Warehouse Associate at Viking Electric, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the efficient handling of materials within our warehouse. This position is full-time and operates on the 1st shift, from Monday to Friday, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The starting pay for this role is $19.00 per hour, with opportunities for overtime available. Your primary responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and moving materials within or near the work site, as well as filling orders and issuing materials and supplies as requested. You will also be responsible for operating various material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and hand trucks, to ensure that customer orders are packed and shipped accurately and efficiently. In addition to your operational duties, maintaining a safe and clean work environment is essential. You will be expected to work independently while also collaborating with team members to meet daily goals. The role requires a strong attention to detail and good time management skills, as you will need to comprehend oral and written communication effectively to read labels and other product documentation. The ability to lift, push, carry, and slide packages weighing up to 75 lbs is necessary, as is the capacity to stand and move throughout the warehouse in various temperatures.
