About the position
The Seasonal Yard Coordinator Dispatcher at OnTrac is responsible for coordinating and tracking the movement of trailers in and out of the yard facility. This role involves overseeing yard workers, ensuring smooth traffic flow for incoming drivers, and performing yard checks. The position is critical for maintaining operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment and is expected to last until January 1st, 2025.
Responsibilities
- Check-in Vendors/Drivers upon arrival.
- Coordinate trailer movement and gear placement with Management and Yard Switchers (Hostlers).
- Perform thorough yard checks.
- Provide reports detailing all trailer pick-ups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent of both.
- One year of leadership experience preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft programs and basic computer skills.
