The Seasonal Yard Coordinator Dispatcher at OnTrac is a part-time role focused on coordinating and tracking the movement of trailers in and out of the yard facility. This position is essential for ensuring smooth traffic flow and effective communication with drivers and yard workers. The role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while providing leadership and support to the team.
Responsibilities
- Check-in Vendors/Drivers upon arrival.
- Coordinate trailer movement and gear placement with Management and Yard Switchers (Hostlers).
- Perform thorough yard checks.
- Provide reports detailing all trailer pick-ups.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of both.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
- One year of leadership experience preferred.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
