About the position

The Armed/Unarmed Security Officer position at Phoenix Protective Corporation (PPC) in Seattle involves ensuring the safety and security of designated areas. The role includes performing security patrols, monitoring entrances and exits, and providing assistance to customers and employees. This position offers both introductory and senior-level opportunities, with a focus on teamwork and self-motivation. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available after 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Maintain site security and watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities
• Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to work in Seattle
• Genuine desire and interest in the security industry
• Ability to stand 100% of shift and physically restrain others
• Reliable transportation
• Basic computer skills to include Word and Outlook
• Strong communication/writing skills
• Ability to obtain a Washington State Security License (must not have any felonies or misdemeanors)
• Flexible working schedule to include weekends
• 18 years of age and older (21 for Armed)
• Driver's License
• Pass pre-employment drug testing
• High School Diploma
