About the position
The Watercolor Instructor position at Orble involves teaching watercolor painting skills to beginners and keen amateurs in a fun and relaxed environment. Classes are held every other weekend at various outdoor locations in Seattle, focusing on different themes each session. The role requires a commitment to regular teaching and the ability to engage students in a social setting.
Responsibilities
- Teach watercolor painting skills to groups of 6-12 students.
- Conduct classes every other weekend on Saturdays or Sundays.
- Ensure a fun, social, and relaxed class atmosphere without formal lectures.
- Market classes by providing samples of personal artwork for social media posts.
Requirements
- Proven advanced watercolor painting skills with qualifications and a portfolio.
- Experience in teaching or group leadership is highly desired.
- Punctual and reliable, able to commit to regular work for at least six months.
- Availability to start in two to three weeks.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in construction painting or ballet dancing may be beneficial.
