The SEC Financial Reporting Analyst position is a critical role within the SEC Financial Reporting group, which is responsible for preparing the firm's quarterly and annual SEC filings, including the 10-Q and 10-K reports. This team plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enhancing the efficiency of the financial reporting process. The analyst will work closely with various teams across the firm, including global product controllers, Legal Entity Controllers (LECs), Accounting Policy, Legal, Funding, Treasury, Credit Risk, and Market Risk, to gather and analyze financial data necessary for accurate reporting. In this role, the analyst will assist in the preparation of the firm's consolidated financial statements, which involves significant interaction with finance teams to ensure that all disclosures meet the required accounting standards. The analyst will also participate in cross-functional projects aimed at implementing new accounting standards and improving existing reporting processes. This includes developing procedures to comply with new regulations, updating policies, and integrating systems to enhance the overall reporting framework. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying areas for improvement within the reporting process and proposing effective solutions. The analyst will coordinate quarterly disclosure meetings with stakeholders and act as a liaison between various departments to ensure that all reporting requirements are met.
