About the position

The position involves managing and guiding the daily administration of the District Attorney's Office. The individual will develop administrative policies, procedures, and programs, and will confer with the District Attorney on policy formulation and program improvements. Responsibilities include assisting with budget planning, directing daily operations, monitoring programs, and managing financial accounts. The role also involves representing the District Attorney at various gatherings and coordinating personnel actions with the human resources department.

Responsibilities

  • Confers with the District Attorney on formulation of policy and program improvements.
  • Assists with planning and preparation of the annual budget.
  • Directs daily operations of the District Attorney's Office.
  • Receives reports and monitors programs.
  • Directs administrative directives.
  • Creates and maintains administrative files and personnel records.
  • Coordinates personnel actions with the human resources department.
  • Manages financial accounts.
  • Directs acquisition of office supplies and equipment.
  • Develops office forms and procedures.
  • Represents the District Attorney at agency-related matters.
  • Directs payment of bills and travel arrangements.
  • Represents the District Attorney at community and business gatherings.
  • Confers with other departmental attorneys for guidance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • J.D. or L.L.B. from an accredited law school.
  • Six years of experience in diverse criminal prosecutions.
  • At least three years of management and supervision experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to respond to sensitive inquiries and complaints.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles.
  • Ability to make effective presentations.
  • License from the Texas State Bar to practice law in Texas.
  • Texas Driver's License.

Benefits

  • Base Pay: $105,164.80 Annual
