About the position
The Second Shift Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes in a meat processing facility. This role involves ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, managing customer complaints, and conducting audits to maintain high standards of product quality. Responsibilities
- Maintaining customer complaints and product complaints
- Verifying and filing daily HACCP and QA documents
- Conducting third-party audits
- Liaising with USDA inspectors
- Writing SOPs as needed
- Monitoring all Pathogen testing and Pest Control program
- Following all food safety, quality and SQF rules
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food science or related
- 1-3 years QA experience in a leadership capacity
- HACCP certified
- Working knowledge of plant sanitation practices and regulatory requirements for meat products
- SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOP and Food defense training
- Food manufacturing experience
- Background in inspection and auditing activities
