About the position

Insight Global is seeking a talented ML/AI Software Engineer to support advanced radar capabilities development at the Army's premier R&D Center in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. This role involves utilizing state-of-the-art engineering and modeling tools to enhance signal processing for current and future Army radar and sensor systems, focusing on AI, Deep Learning, and Digital Signal Processing applications.

Responsibilities

  • Research and implement state-of-the-art Machine Learning (ML) technologies for radar data processing.
  • Exercise knowledge of software systems, artificial intelligence (AI), Deep Learning, design methods, and system of systems architectures.
  • Participate in algorithmic design and machine learning frameworks including detection, classification, and targeting techniques.
  • Provide analysis, requirements, and algorithm design, implementation, integration, verification, and maintenance of AI software systems.
  • Collaborate across multi-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving IT services enterprise.
  • Understand supporting technologies including cloud computing, containerization, parallelization, databases, and Git.
  • Integrate AI engine/techniques with modeling and simulation applications.
  • Self-manage responsibilities to ensure timely completion of activities.
  • Publish and present research at international and government conferences.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with AI/ML in complex software systems.
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing applied to radar signals.
  • 2-3 years of programming in modern C++.
  • Experience using Python or Matlab for analyzing data sets.
  • Experience with running and modifying simulations and performing analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of software systems, machine learning, design methods, and system of systems architectures.

Nice-to-haves

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar field.
  • Background working with Airborne Radars or similar UAV/UAS programs.
  • Experience with Digital Signal Processing related to imaging the ground and sending data back to base.
  • Ability and interest to go on-site frequently.
  • Experience implementing ML technologies tailored for RF data processing.
