About the position

The Secret Software Applications Test Engineer III role at Insight Global involves participating in software design and peer reviews, developing test specifications and infrastructure, and executing both manual and automated tests. The engineer will analyze program implementations in an integrated environment, focusing on specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure. This position requires strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with a technical team and present analysis results to various stakeholders, including government customers.

Responsibilities

• Participate in software design and peer reviews.
• Develop test specifications and infrastructure.
• Execute manual and automated tests.
• Perform analysis of program implementation in an integrated environment.
• Test specific capabilities for interfaces or infrastructure in support of operations.
• Coordinate lab resources, test results, and verification status with the program and customers.
• Present analysis results and action plans in written and oral formats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree in a related field with 3+ years of experience, or 9 years of total experience in lieu of a degree.
• Secret clearance or higher.
• Knowledge and experience in software testing.
• Experience with Agile development processes.
• Automated testing experience (unit testing, JUnit, Apache, Selenium, etc.).
• Experience documenting software deficiency reports and planning/execution of test data collection.
• DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (e.g., Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) is highly desired.
