The Secretary - Class B position at Anoka-Hennepin School District is a full-time role based at Coon Rapids High School for the 2024-25 school year. This position requires the individual to work 230 days a year, with an 8-hour workday. The primary responsibilities include assisting with various administrative tasks related to the MLC/Resource room assignments, which involve managing paperwork, utilizing Synergy and Google Docs for data entry, and maintaining accurate records. The secretary will be responsible for entering referrals into the Synergy system, requesting necessary health and case manager information for students being sent to the DMLC, and coordinating transportation for these students. Additionally, the role involves requesting homework for students who are suspended and completing the necessary DMLC forms. The secretary will also maintain various paperwork, including HVD documentation, teacher and bus referral e-files, and electronic behavior referrals. They will be tasked with distributing letters related to suspensions, attendance, and other important notifications. The position requires the maintenance of lists such as 'Do not admit to Dance/Activity' and holding student items like cell phones. Inventory management and stocking of office supplies are also part of the duties. The secretary will assist with picture coordination, ID distribution, and the creation of new IDs for students, as well as managing senior panoramic sales and distribution. Other responsibilities include maintaining senior phonetic spelling records and assisting teachers and case managers with student passes and room signs. The role may also involve other duties and projects as assigned by the administration.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with MLC/Resource room assignments (paperwork, Synergy and Google Docs).
  • Enter referrals into Synergy.
  • Request Health, Case Manager, and additional information for students being sent to DMLC.
  • Request transportation for students being sent to DMLC.
  • Request homework for students being suspended.
  • Complete DMLC form.
  • Send registration paperwork to DMLC.
  • Maintain HVD paperwork.
  • Maintain teacher and bus referral paperwork/e-files.
  • Distribute electronic behavior referrals.
  • Maintain and distribute letters for all suspensions, including for fighting, and 'not allowed after school' letters, and attendance letters.
  • Maintain 'Do not admit to Dance/Activity' lists.
  • Hold student items (i.e., cell phones), DIRS report.
  • Maintain inventory and stocking office forms.
  • Assist with Picture coordination, ID/Picture distribution, make New IDs (new Students, lost).
  • Assist with Senior panoramic sales and distribution, Early Release/Admit Passes for PSEO, STEP and Work Program Student, Wall list - location map, Declaration of Receipt documentation, TA requests forms, maintain/Input Senior phonetic spelling, senior speaker contact.
  • Assist teachers/case managers with student passes Room signs with teacher's names.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
