About the position

The National Council of Churches is seeking a part-time Secretary/Receptionist to provide essential administrative support in a hybrid work environment. Responsibilities

  • Perform administrative duties including typing, filing, and organizing documents.
  • Send out correspondence.
  • Answer phones and greet guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain office calendars.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies inventory.
  • Ensure the office is tidy and well-maintained.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to assist in general office operations.
  • Provide support for special events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent, community college or some college preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar administrative role preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Understanding or experience in a faith-based environment.
