Responsibilities

  • Handle routine inquiries from staff and inmates, providing technical assistance and answering questions regarding correctional programs.
  • Receive orders to the office, determine the nature of requests, and direct them to appropriate staff or provide information personally when applicable.
  • Review correspondence prepared for the supervisor and other staff members.
  • Assist the Unit Manager and staff in expediting office work and procedural aspects.
  • Maintain security of the institution as a primary responsibility.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service, involving clerical and administrative support functions.
  • Experience in handling requests for information, processing correspondence, and performing office automation duties using a personal computer.
