Responsibilities

  • Perform front desk duties to check-in probationers.
  • Answer phone calls and provide general office and program information.
  • Contact probation officers and other staff for appointments and meetings.
  • Open and close case intake files.
  • Maintain case documents such as violations.
  • Prepare standard and routine legal documents, letters, and correspondence from dictations.
  • Track, file, and maintain routine case information such as criminal history and driver's licenses.
  • Process daily incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Provide guidance to entry secretarial staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
  • Knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with modern office procedures, methods, and equipment.
  • Basic filing and recordkeeping principles.
  • Cash handling techniques and basic bookkeeping techniques.
  • Proficiency in using computers and related software applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
